DEH-P900HDD details
10 GB Hard Disk Drive
Now, it's no longer necessary to cart a bunch of
CDs between your home and car. The DEH-P900HDD features a 2.5- inch,
built-in hard disk drive with a huge 10GB memory capacity that can
store a maximum of about 200 music CDs*, utilizing ATRAC3 digital
compression. Easily record music direct from the buit-in CD player**,
or from a multi-CD player connected via IP-Bus***. Since the music
is held in memory in digital format, there is no deterioation in
sound quality through data transfer when compared to the original
digital music source. You can also forget about sound skip caused
by bumps to your car.

Auto Title Input by Gracenote CDDB*
This hard disk is per-installed with the vast Gracenote
CDDB* of CD titles (approx.220,000 titles). In recording from the
built-in CD player, Auto Title Input** auomatically adds CD titles,
artist names and music titles based on this per-installed database.

Play List automatically sorts and memorizes recorded music information
into five play lists: All/Digital/ Analog/ Artist/ Custom. Although
a huge volume of music data is stored on the hard disk, you can
easily find and select the music you want to listen to through the
touch of a button.

MP3 Playback
You no logger need a big stack of CDs to take more
of your favorite music on the road. Pioneer's new DEH-P900HDD and
DEH-P7450MP car audio head units play your custom-edited, extra-long-
playing compact discs containing MP3 recordings.
What's great about ten music MP3 ? Using this format, a PC can record
on a blank CD-R/RW disc up to about CDs filled to capacity*. That's
because each MP3 song file (of highly compressed data with minimal
inaudible "filled" data) contains about 10% of the digital
audio data volume, and virtually all the audio fidelity, of its
corresponding original CD source.
The MP3 format extends access to music in other ways. Edit the order
and organization of music files as you wish. Also, since MP3 music
is widely available on websites, you can expand your musical horizons
even further.

Built-in "MagicGate Memory Stick" Slot
 "MagicGate
Memory Stick" is a new IC recording media that expands the
versatility of car entertainment, while being compact, lightweight,
and compatible with PCs and potable audio. 
The DEH-P900HDD has a built in Memory Stick slot, so that it is
possible to play back music data recorded using other Memory Stick-compatible
products. Conversely, music data held in the built-in hard disk
can be transferred to the Memory Stick, for playback with all Memory
Stick- compatible products.
